RBW was fantastic! We redid our kitchen with them. They were very helpful, honest, up front, and professional from the design stage right through to completion. Also, the work was scheduled in a extremely efficient fashion - the only delay was when the flooring installer got sick (which couldn't be helped or planned for). As a bonus, by coincidence, our water heater died during the demolition phase - so they had two additional guys over in 20 min to help clean up the water and set up their abatement fan to dry out the basement overnight, and they had me set up with a new water heater next morning. They simply added it to the cost of the project. We're very happy with our new kitchen, and I would definitely use their services again.

Used RBW for a smaller project to fix up a wall in a room. Involved some modifications, mud, taping, sanding and painting. The team at RBW was amazing. We contracted RBW to develop our small basement. We had originally planned on doing a DIY job, but then opted to have professional help for the most crucial steps.Why I chose RBW:I contacted a few companies and RBW was one of the quickest replies. They were MILES ahead of the other companies in regards to speed, accuracy and thoroughness of their quote. Their prices were very competitive, they are insured, and hold quite a few impressive awards. The reason I chose them was because their communication was VERY good. They followed up quickly and appropriately. They provided complete information, and were great at negotiating and managing expectations.What I got:RBW completed the drafting, framing, electrical, drywall and mud/tape/sanding for us. We took over for the finishing work (my partner did finishing construction for work back in the day, so we wanted to do this.) I was really glad that RBW was willing to negotiate this unique contract with us.Timeline:Drafting- 2 business daysFraming- 3 daysElectrical- 2 half daysDrywall- 1 dayMud/Tape/Sanding- 2 daysBonuses:I definitely noticed a few gold-star moments from RBW.1) They were willing to do a 'partial' build.2) Richard and Darlene were THE NICEST people to speak to, they made it super easy to talk through expectations/money/etc.3) ALL the RBW contractors/team members were very respectful of our home, COVID restrictions, etc.4) We have two small children. So having contractors in and out is really disruptive to our day-to-day. As mentioned above, the amount of time we had contractors IN OUR HOUSE was surprisingly low. They worked really fast, which was a relief, from a comfort perspective.5) The electrician, plumber, and Richard, were all willing to share tips of their trades, and went out of their way to answer questions I had, even if these weren't part of their 'job.'6) RBW was available during our painting phase if we noticed any imperfections in the sanding (which we didn't. Honestly, the most crisp, sexy corners I've ever seen!) In general, I feel reassured that RBW will stand behind their work.Cons:The ONLY cons I have are as such... I'm grabbing at the little things here,1) There was a delay in our electrical inspection, but this was due to complications from our original plan to DIY the job. Our permit application was personal, but then when we switched to professional, which caused a hiccup and delay.2) We didn't think to talk about the laundry corner that had been previously developed, in retrospect, I should have asked RBW to re-do this wall to put the washer/dryer hookups behind the wall. But again, this wasn't an error of RBW, this was ME missing something.Overall, I am over the moon happy with the service and craftsmanship we got! 10000% will be (and have already been) recommending them to everyone.I've included photos of the before, framing, and drywall. Bonus photos of it painted so you can see how crisp the drywall looks!Thanks for reading this marathon of a review!

We had our kitchen, family room, and one bathroom renovated. We were loving the outcome so much we added a reno of the master bathroom and the remainder of the main floor (front entrance, living room, and bedrooms)! It looks like a new home! They were always very professional and payed attention to the details of the renovation. Everything was done on time and stayed in budget. They helped us through the decision making process to keep us in budget and make sure everything has a great overall look. We are very pleased with the final outcome. Would recommend!

We chose RBW after some exhaustive research on contractors in the city to reno the main floor/master bedroom of our house, everything but the basement really. From our first meeting with Richard and his wife Darlene we felt confident and excited. This was a huge reno with lots of demo, they removed a bedroom and reinforced the vaulted ceiling. The large window in the existing kitchen was moved to the opposite side of the house for the new dining room. The back sliding door was removed for a hinged door. The main floor and master bathroom were gutted and redone. Vinyl flooring was installed throughout. The front door was replaced. Lastly this amazing kitchen which is everything we could have hoped for!For cost and convenience reasons we decided to live in the basement throughout the reno, Richard was very accommodating with this and even installed a sink in the basement and added another breaker and temporary outlet in the basement. All his guys were very respectful of us living downstairs as sometimes entrance was needed for work being done. All of the trades did great work and went above and beyond, Neil the painter helped us find the exact shade of grey we envisioned. We have already gotten compliments from friends on the finishing job of the baseboards and framing. This reno started in the beginning of april and we were a little worried about if it would finish because of covid but Richard kept us informed throughout and i would guess it maybe went 4 weeks past the estimated completion time strictly due to covid/shipping delays. 100% we will be contacting him again to finish the basement and recommending to all our friends.
